So many things..

Why is it that suddenly there are like 80 thousand things that I want to buy? Garmin GPS, iPod, TV, Xbox 360, the list goes on and on.  And, of course, I’m sitting here dumping 1k$ into savings a month and hoping that I’ll be getting a nice return when my ESPP hits.  GO UP STOCK! :(

In any case, not much is happening in the world of Haji.  I’m busy at work, although, not too busy.  We lost our last soccer game but we’ve got a new season starting so we’ll see if we can do any better this time.  Been keeping up with the diet and exercise, down to about an average of 172 lbs.  Still wishing I could find another side job that I could do to earn some extra bonus cash in order to get some of the things I’m looking for.  My cousin got married ( congratulations Heather and Tom! ) and Erin is getting married in December.

On the more horrible side of the news, I lost my camera.  Yeah, my $1,300 camera is gone and I have no idea where it is.  I have the camera bag and a lens, but I’m missing the rest of it and that really sucks.  I still have one hope for where it might be and I’ll find that out on Thursday.  So now I’ve got to save up for a new one! ( Wonder which one I’ll buy this time.. ).  Kinda sucks that I cannot take any pictures at the moment but I’ll have to tough it out.

 Well, back to web browsing…

game on!

so i’m back in action, yo.

the leg is healed, practiced yesterday, game on thursday vs ‘The Rainboys’.  Ugh.  I really hope we don’t lose to a team with such a gay name.  We’re getting better and it helps that most people are showing up now so that we can get a bit of rest for the bag o’ bones and blubber that make up our team.

We’ve lost the first 3 games.  We’ll see about the 4th.

break a fucking leg.

or just about.  i’d be in the same damn situation!  i put together a soccer team from a bunch of people at work, coercing, bribing, torturing them until they signed the contracts with their blood, and what happens? i injure myself the day before our first damn game.  see below.  the big, red muscle.

well, it turns out i strained mine pretty damn bad ( and i thought taking penalty kicks was supposed to be easy on you.. ).  now i have to wait for news if I’m allowed to get an MRI from my craptard of an insurance company so my doctor can tell me how long i’m going to be sitting on the side lines, berating my team and screaming at them, all the while sipping gatorade, because, god damn, yelling at people is a thirsty endeavour.

Oh my..

Just read this story. Then sit there with your mouth wide open and wonder why you didn’t do this.

The year in photos

Uncategorized 1 Comment »

I wanted to post this awesome link ( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10467269/ ). It’s the year’s events in photos, some of which are startlingly beautiful. It makes me want to take my camera out right now, except, well, there’s nothing I can think of to go photograph.

So if you have any ideas on what I should go photograph, tell me! I’ll try and go out and take pictures of whatever topic I’m given to a certain degree. I’m just lacking on ideas in general. I can, after all, only photograph my dogs so many times.

Oh, and please, go visit Ryan Bond and tell him how much tiger style sucks. :)

Ho ho ho.

Most of the galleries are organized now. It’s a slow, agonizing process. Gallery2 does a nice job, but I could see some room for improvement in some areas. As for real life things, we had our company christmas party this weekend and it was a blast! Jodi has some photos that I’ll have to download and post my favorites.

Operation Room Clean is almost complete, although I still have a large mountain of clothes to conquer. We’ll see how well I do that this week. In other news, the poker table is almost done, we’re just awaiting the arrival of the foam from Texas. Once that is here, it should only be a night’s work to complete the table. Then it’s onto playing!

Hello world!

I’ve finally got Wordpress installed! Woo. It was much easier to install than Movable Type, but the main reason I moved to it was so that I could easily create static pages. Don’t get me wrong, MovableType has that option, it’s just a more difficult, complicated way of doing it.

Anyways, hopefully I’ll update the site more now that I have a decent CMS and Ryan Bond to bug me about updating.

For now, until I get more themes up and learn WP a little bit more, ciao.
