Well, you may have noticed that there’s been a lack of updates the last week. On Sunday night, I started getting a bit stuffy. Monday morning wasn’t too bad. I really brought it on the Chest and Back workout. However, when I woke up Tuesday, it was a whole different story. I was clammy, sneezing, breaking out in sweats and in general agony. I tried to do Plyometrics, but after about 25 minutes, I was lightheaded and about to faint. I figured I’d take a break and try again, but I only got in about 10 minutes before I almost puked.
So yeah, I took off the next few days while I tried to recover and here I am, still recovering. Unfortunately, this has allowed the Tiger to gain a rather large lead on me in our challenge and I basically need to restart P90X. So I’m going to consider last week a prep-week and start the program again. So, starting Monday, I’ll be starting up the blog again on day 1, assuming I’m fully recovered.
And I’m still going to kick the Tiger’s ass.

Hey Steve,
Tudor
Was doing a search for p90x articles and came across your site.
Sounds like you’re having similar issues to me.
Last summer I actually completed the program but ended up having to have shoulder surgery this past November. That knocked me on my ass for a few months and I’ve only just restarted. I’m on day 2 of week 3 right now and I’m only just now able to complete Plyo at a ‘reasonable’ rate.
I read through your initial numbers they’re pretty good. You will probably see much better results then I did. An example is when I started I was only able to do 3 - 5 wide grip chin ups. That eventually changed and I was doing 12 of the wide grip and 20 of the other types (not including corncob)
Anyways thanks for putting yourself out there. Good to be able to see other people results… without having to be suspicious of BeachBody ‘influencing’ the numbers.

Thanks Tudor! Glad to know others are out there who have had the same issues with the inevitable sickness and injuries. Hope your shoulder is doing well now. Alot of my chin ups/pull ups are with the chair. I figured it was better to get more reps out of it than to just do 3 sets of 5, exhaust myself and not be able to do anything else.
