the second phase

A short update in the life o’ Steve. Things are still going very well with Marielle. She’s awesome and we’re having a good time. She’s been really good to me and I’m trying to be good back. We tied our last soccer game 5 to 5 in a thrilling game. We actually scored the tieing goal in the last 7 seconds, even though at times we were winning in the game and probably should have come through with the win, but I’m glad we got out with the tie.

Me and Bond have been doing development on a new Wordpress theme and I’ve been spending alot of time learning Wordpress and some of it’s quirks, which I’ll be detailing in a few articles once the theme is up.

Anyhow, I just wanted to post a short update on my life. Hopefully I’ll have some real content coming up soon.

No, that’s not the hours I work ( that’s more like 10 to 3.. ).  It’s the score of our SECOND WIN.  That’s right, my small fellowship of readers, we have won another soccer game.  Yes, those are pigs flying outside your window right now.  After being behind 0 to 3, we came back and crushed them.  Next step, playoffs!

In other news, my landlady is a total bitch.  I’ll update about that later but I just wanted to post and say how awesome my parents are and how thankful I am for them to volunteer to take the dogs for awhile, letting me get situated before I can take the dogs back.

Alright, time for me to be off to bed.

So in a turn of events, I now live in an alternate world where we actually win our soccer games.  After 3 losing seasons, we recruited a few more players and went out there to see what we could do.  Well, suffice it to say we were winning 11 to 3.

Anyhow, it seems like we’ll actually be some good competition for other teams, rather than just a blow out game that we suffered in most cases.  I didn’t like the fact that we had so many guys and they didn’t, but damn, it feels good to win.

That’s right, boys and girls, it is no longer a myth, a legend, that bullshit story about how you lost your virginity.  The Apple iPhone is finally a reality and OMG.  The thing is loaded with goodies for all geeks, audiophiles and sleek enough for you upstrung exec types.

The down side?  It doesn’t come out until June.  Maybe I can preorder one and then sell it on eBay ( ala Wii and PS3 ). I will, however, be saving up some cash for this monster.

So my little sister finally did it.  After all my advice and begging for her to never do it, to shun this decision forever and instead live a happy life, she actually went and did it.

She got married.

And I must say, I’m happy for her and Ben.  They make an awesome couple and I know she’s horribly happy.  Good thing I didn’t charge for any of my advice sessions with her. 

There are quite a few pictures up in here of the wedding and my adventures in ice fishing ( at which point the camera died, so they are thankfully short and sweet ).  Also, you’ll notice the gallery has changed.  Sorry about that, in doing the upgrade of the gallery software, I found out that it doesn’t work with Wordpress.
